Kabini, wilderness unlimited located along the banks of river Kaveri is a nature enthusiast’s dream come true. Tiger, leopard, elephant along with flora and fauna endemic to Western Ghats gives thrills unlimited. Yet another birder’s destination is Masinagudi the sleepy town along the Western Ghats bordering Karnataka and Tamil Nadu epitomized by the famous elephant Rivaldo and his best friend, the ardent nature lover, Mark Davidar. The mist laden Ooty is symbolized by the Nilgiri mountain toy train that is acclaimed by UNESCO as a heritage journey of a lifetime. The heritage of Palakkad still thrives though its people and remains unchanged over centuries. Nila or Bharatapuzha along whose banks many a famed hero of Kalaripayattu emerged is also symbolized by its immortal writers and heritage monuments. Palakkad fort, located right in the middle of the city is a must see monument along with Kalpathy, the heritage tourist village. You cannot get any closer to elephants and learn them better than at the elephant camp near the famous Guruvayoor temple. Kochi was ranked seventh in the list of top 10 cities to visit during 2020 by lonely planet. The Jewish Synagogue, Chinese fishing nets, Kumbalangi tourist village and Fort Kochi are some of the places out of the many more surprises in store for the visitor. This industrial hub of Kerala is definitely tops the list among the must see places in Kerala.
